These guidelines explain how to ship products to Mountainy correctly. Following these requirements helps prevent receiving delays, discrepancies, and additional handling fees.
Purchase Order Requirements
All inbound shipments must have a Purchase Order (PO) created before inventory is shipped to our warehouse.
Requirements
Create a Purchase Order in ShipHero before shipping.
Include the ASN (Advance Shipment Notification) when creating the PO.
Provide tracking numbers whenever possible.
⚠ Avoid creating duplicate purchase orders for the same shipment.
Carton & Pallet Labeling
Every carton or pallet must be clearly labeled to ensure accurate receiving.
Each label must include:
Your company name
The ASN number or name used when creating the PO in ShipHero
The SKU
The quantity inside the carton
Shipments that arrive without clear labels may experience receiving delays and additional handling fees.
SKU Packaging Requirements
Inventory must be packaged so our receiving team can process it quickly and accurately.
Requirements
One SKU per box
Do not mix multiple SKUs in a single carton
Different sizes or product variations must be packed separately
If multiple SKUs must ship together in a larger carton, use inner cartons to separate each SKU.
Mixed SKU cartons may result in delays and Special Project Fees.
Inner Cartons
If your shipment uses inner cartons:
Each inner carton must be labeled with the SKU
Each inner carton must show the quantity contained inside
This helps ensure accurate receiving once cartons are opened.
Pallet Requirements
All palletized shipments must meet the following standards:
Pallet size must be 40 × 48 inches
Maximum pallet height is 60 inches
Pallets should be properly shrink wrapped to prevent damage during transit
Barcode Requirements
Mountainy requires barcodes to ensure accurate fulfillment.
Requirements
All products must have a scannable barcode
Exceptions
Barcodes are not required for:
Insert cards
Custom packaging
Products arriving without barcodes may experience receiving delays.
Shipping Label Guidelines
Shipping labels must clearly identify your company.
Correct labeling
Include your company name on the shipping label.
Do not use
Personal names
Sales representative names
Account manager names
Packing Slip Requirements
To ensure accurate receiving, please follow these packing slip guidelines:
Include a separate packing slip for each pallet
Number each carton sequentially
Example:
1/30,2/30,3/30
Add the master tracking number to the PO inside ShipHero
You may use the downloadable PO form in ShipHero to provide suppliers with a master packing slip.
Delivery Scheduling
Some shipments require a scheduled delivery appointment.
You must schedule delivery at least 1 business day in advance if your shipment includes:
30 or more cartons (non-palletized)
5 or more pallets
Floor-loaded containers
To schedule delivery, contact your Account Manager in Slack or call:
📞 814-503-4188
Good Faith Receiving
Mountainy receives shipments using Good Faith Receiving (GFR).
This means we assume the quantities listed in your Purchase Order and carton labels are accurate. If the expected receipt quantity matches the carton labels, inventory will be received accordingly.
If a supplier makes a mistake, discrepancies may not be discovered until later inventory audits.
Additional Receiving Information
Mixed pallets
Mixed pallets are billed as individual cartons.
Missing ASN
Shipments arriving without an ASN will experience receiving delays and additional fees.

If products arrive damaged:
Items will be set aside
